CureSight US Referral Program

The CureSight’s referral program allows eye care providers (ECP’s) to refer their amblyopic patients to CureSight, our FDA-cleared eye-tracking-based digital treatment program for amblyopia.

Joining the program doesn’t require any investment from the clinic and can provide a new source of revenue stream.

Upon the ECP’s enrollment to the CureSight program, access is granted to a dedicated web portal. The web portal which is the beating heart of CureSight’s entirety, allows the ECP to place online referrals of the CureSight treatment as well as monitor the patient’s treatment progress and compliance.

In order to ease the load for the ECP and support the referral process, a dedicated HIPAA-compliant Monitoring Center is in place to process patient referrals while providing comprehensive end-to-end physician and patient engagement, education, and support.

The CureSight web portal allows the eye care provider to control and monitor their CureSight patient’s treatment. Supported by an integrated cloud platform which processes data from the CureSight system, the eye care provider has access to comprehensive treatment information such as progress reports, real-time monitoring and compliance of the child’s treatment.

The CureSight treatment received 3 unique CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes from the American Medical Association becoming effective in January 2022. NovaSight is currently developing coverage plans with top payors in the US. While this is a work in progress, an assurance program was created to ensure patients could benefit from the treatment in the transition period without a significant financial burden until coverage plans will become official.
The referring physician may bill the patient’s payor for code 0706T – interpretation and report by physician or other qualified health care professional, per calendar month.

The CureSight system is indicated for improvement in visual acuity and stereo acuity in amblyopia patients, aged 4 – <9 years, associated with anisometropia and/or with mild strabismus, having received treatment instructions (frequency and duration) as prescribed by a trained eye-care professional. CureSight is intended for both previously treated and untreated patients and is intended to be used as an adjunct to full-time refractive correction, such as glasses, which should also be worn under the anaglyph glasses during CureSight treatment. CureSight is intended for prescription use only, in an at-home environment.

Once a child is diagnosed with amblyopia and prescribed with the CureSight treatment, the eye care provider creates a ‘new patient’ via the dedicated web portal. The new patient account is also going to be used as the patient’s prescription.
After receiving the prescription, the Monitoring Center makes a benefit and eligibility verification and once approved – the device is shipped to the patient’s home via FedEx.
Upon arrival – the Monitoring Center guides the patient’s guardians how to set up and operate the device and will also track the patient’s compliance to the treatment.
The treatment is carried out according to the recommended eye care provider’s protocol and the device’s instructions of use. Supported by an integrated web portal which processes data from the CureSight system, the eye care provider receives a comprehensive patient progress reports and real-time monitoring of the child’s treatment’s compliance throughout the entire treatment time.
